STALKER - Motion Series

STALKER is a series of animated photographs based on the theme of stalking.

​

Using fixed shots, I recreate movie sequences illustrating the "stalker" and his target.
With references like Hitchcock, John Carpenter, Dario Argento, Tarantino and Brian De Palma,
the series uses key compositions and "typical scenes"— sometimes even iconic ones—that shaped the genre.

Fascinated by this looping animation technique called a «Cinemagraph»—this in-between state of stillness and movement—I decided to experiment with it through this series.
It is also a way for me to combine two fields I am passionate about: photography and cinema.
