DRIVE IN - Photo Series

Starting from the idea of the drive-in, where people watch an outdoor movie from their car, I chose to create a photographic series about our attitudes and behaviors inside a car.
The series, titled «Drive in», represents various ordinary, stereotyped, and sometimes funny or unusual situations that we may have already observed, imagined or experienced inside a car.
For these staged photographs, I draw inspiration from shared visual culture, reappropriating familiar codes and stereotypes built and spread through cinema, television, advertising and even painting.
Faced with these fictional moments and narrative openings, I invite the viewer to make up their own story. There is therefore not just one, but several possible interpretations of these images.
Therefore, I use the narrative potential of photographic image, seeking to capture a moment that will draw the viewer in and invite them to take part in the narrative. These constructed images then act as gateways to our imagination.
Between reality and imagination, my images question the unfolding of the story and how the viewer receives it.
